The agricultural heartland of the Sunshine Coast

Alexandria (Alex)

Alexandria (known locally as “Alex”) is a historical, rural town about 15 km from Kenton-on-Sea which was first established in the 1800s. Driving into Alexandria, you’ll notice the impressive Dutch Reformed Church with its tall steeple, presiding over the town centre – a nod to the town’s settler heritage. Alexandria is surrounded by dairy and some pineapple farms and serves as a gateway to the Woody Cape section of Addo Elephant National Park, home to vast coastal dune fields.
